Factors And Kinds Of Piles
Piles is one of the most common conditions occurring in Western countries and also a few Eastern ones too. Many don’t like to talk about this condition because they have been directly affected by it. In Western countries mostly people in the age group between 50 to 65 years suffer from piles. This hemorrhoids condition is equally found in both men and women.
Normally hemorrhoids (piles) exists in every human being. When the tissues of hemorrhoids are in normal condition, it performs as a compressible lining that controls the alimentary canal to close properly. This piles condition only gets worse after it appears in the anal canal, therefore must be treated as soon as its appearance.
There is no main cause of this condition as the force on rectal veins occasionally triggers them to swell. Some causes for hemorrhoids to occur are:
1. Heredity
2. Age factors
3. Longer length of time spent on the toilet
4. Pregnancy
5. Faulty bowel function due to overuse of laxatives or enemas; straining during bowel movements
6. Constipation or diarrhea
Which ever may be the cause, the supporting tissues make the veins stretch. Therefore the veins get enlarged and weak from stretching, causing blood loss and them to protrude.
There can be more than one reason for Piles (hemorrhoids) to occur. This condition can be internal or external, and both can occur even at the same time. An external pile is found beneath the dentate line, located in the anal canal, which is very painful as it swells and becomes red. If it is a clot, then can be painful near the anal area. An internal pile occurs on the end or on top of the dentate line and doesn’t really cause pain.
This piles condition is categorized in the following grades: in first grade; Hemorrhoids, which stick into but do not forward or downward displacement of organ out of the anal canal. In second grade forward or downward displacement of organ on defecation but instinctively decreases. While in third grade piles necessitate physical decreases and in last fourth grade piles necessitate physical decreases. The remaining piles can generate thrombosis and gangrene.
